In July of 2009 I recieved a visit from a representative of the Humane Society. They were following up on a complaint of cruelty about my operation. Someone had purchased a puppy and decided to make my life even more difficult by thinking of the best thing possible to hurt me. This claim is definately not true and since I'm an honest person and I thought that everyone was happy I sent the following email...
I'm sending this email to everyone who purchased a puppy from me in 2009...
These last few months have been very hectic in my life with so many great puppies, keeping the web site updated with new pictures as well as sending current pictures to future owners, making sure my 'babies' are clean and up to date on shots/dewormings and other medications. And still grooming, feeding and spending quality time with the adult dogs. WHEW no wonder my husband says- "if I had 4 legs and wagged my tail, I may get some attention around here" During this time we had a death in the family and I wasn't able to go to the funeral because I was so busy.
After several puppies had went to their new homes, I was able to relax a little or so I thought. Tuesday I had a visitor from the humane society. She said that a complaint had been made against me. Someone who purchased a puppy recently had called to say something about "cruelty". WHAT??? I have never even pushed a dog/puppy in my whole life!!! Many folks have witnessed the love I have for animals. So I was shocked and still feel the pain from that experience. Needless to say that of course the humane society found nothing wrong and were impressed with what she saw when the inspection was done.
I'm proud to say that I'm not just a "breeder" because I really care for my dogs/puppies. I just wanted to apologize to anyone who may have gotten the wrong idea about me. 
I was amazed by the positive response so I decided to share thoughts about how people really feel:
♥♦♥ Hi Nancy. I am shocked that anyone would even make such a remark. I was totally impressed with your set-up and you do a wonderful job with all of your adult and puppies. Kiara is spoiled rotten and has received great vet reports. I too have been busy but have wanted to email you and let you know how much we love our baby. Please don't get discouraged from this as there are people in this world that no one could please. Keep up the good work.
♥♦♥ Nancy, I am so sorry to hear this. I am more than happy to provide testimony/good references. I wouldn't keep trying to buy every puppy you had otherwise!! I don't know who complained, but ♥♦♥ THAT MAKES ME SO ANGRY that someone was so cruel to do that to you! You were GREAT when we got Mia from you and I could tell that you do love your animals!! Shame on them and don't let that get you down and know that you were bound to run into at least one trouble maker in the midst of all the people that have bought puppies from you!! And our Mia is growing and we LOVE her to death she is the best dog!! Thanks again for all that you did for us and hopefully you will not run into another person like that again!! There’s plenty of families you help complete with the addition of a puppy…I know you did ours. ♥♦♥ I am so sorry to hear that someone would contact the humane society without approaching you first. I had a wonderful experience with you, you are so kind and caring and OBVIOUSLY love your puppies so much. We have had several people ask us where we got Boomer and I have directed them all to your website. We have a wonderful, healthy, happy puppy and we have you to thank! We are even considering coming back next spring for a friend for Boomer! :) Thanks again, and I sure am glad that you proved them wrong!! ♥♦♥ I want to commend you for your honesty and sharing that on your website. It says a a lot knowing that you disclosed that information. I know it must have been painful for you to hear that someone had actually accused you of such a thing. I can tell you this- I don't believe or ever believed that you were cruel to any of your babies. I knew after meeting you, that you cared for each little one like it was you're own. Just take it with a grain of salt, and know that you can't win'em all. You do your best and give your love and to me that goes a long way- far enough! I hate you had to go through all that but I've found that no matter what your business or how hard you work and try to do a great job, there's always that person that thrives on negativity! We love our new puppy Maggie! She went camping for the first time last weekend and was so well behaved and just fell right in to everything! You did a fantastic job with our Maggie! Thanks and keep up the good work and try to ignore those in life who are unhappy and find delight in making others unhappy, too!
I am so very sorry to hear that someone would do that to you! I don't know how anyone could ever think that you would hurt your babies! It has been so obvious to me every time I have been to your home just how much you truly love each and everyone one of the puppies that you have and the adult dogs. I just don't understand how someone else could miss something like that, you can hear it in your voice when you talk about the puppies and every e-mail you've ever sent to me about Paisley was always full of pride for her. So, personally I want to say thank you for taking such good care of her and loving her so much before she came home with me and again I'm sorry that something like this happened.
it wasn't me! You didn't seem like a "cruel" animal owner to
me.......anyway, you obviously have the humane society on your side,
so thats all that matters. Keep up the good work :).

I was very surprised that you had a visit from the humane society recently. My mom and I have been to your house many times in the last several months and we were both impressed with how well your dogs and puppies were cared for. You've always been sooo helpful answering my 101 questions. I'll always be grateful to you for granting my wish that Holli keep her tail natural, even though you didn't know me yet. I'm even more grateful that you let me adopt Cammie at a moments notice. They are both such great additions to our family. I have proof you care for your puppies as well as your adults. (Holli is 10 months old and Cammie just turned 3 years. ) Keep up the good work raising those adorable puppies and I'll keep referring people your way.
How are you doing? I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. My
husband told me what happen to you with Humane Society. It upset me that
someone had too much time on there hands to falsely accuse you of
cruelty that was very ugly and had a lot of nerve to purchase your puppy
and then complaint about it not too classy.
I can honestly say that you show love and affection to your
dogs/puppies and you delicate alot of your time with them. You have
plenty of space and cages and have food all of the time for them and you
keep up with there shots. We love Jersey and are very satisfy with how
you took care of him and how you keep in touch on a weekly basis and
send us weekly photos and let us go to your house several times to visit
him. He is a very smart puppy and learns quickly and I do not regret
getting him in anyway. Jasmine absolutely loves and spoils him and she
is very happy.
Anyway I'm glad that Humane Society notice that it was not true and you
pass the inspection. Anyway, here I send you a picture of Jersey how he
looks now we had to send him to get groom because his haircut was way
too long. Put this behind you and continue doing a good job you have

I can't believe someone would say such a thing! I think that you are very professional and you take good care of your animals what what I could see the times I came to your place. My little Oreo is doing well and is so full of energy! I think you are doing a wonderful job with keeping your dogs and the puppies safe and healthy. Keep up the good work and God Bless!
