A few years ago one cost $2000, that was a tiny parti-colored female yorkie. Usually the prices are $1200-$1500.

Thanks for posting this Doris. I hate when people say 'I want a teacup' when they don't even know what's involved in raising an extremely tiny puppy...sometimes heartbreak and expense. Tiny puppies are prone to have more health issues than a regular size puppy. Also people have different ideas about what a 'teacup' is...occasionally a tiny puppy that doesn't have everything needed to live a normal, long life, can you imagine the size of their internal organs? Having a teacup is risky, people need to learn this before jumping into owning one. Although right now I have a 2 pound yorkiepoo, she's 12 years old and never had any problems, reckon I was just lucky with her.

I've just read some of your tips posts about your babies and I cant thank you enough for putting it out there about the tee cups and the dos and don't. Its so true and peoe don't take care of normal size Pets they won't even care about the little ones. If I have one wish when I die it will be that the animals get the proper care and protection that they deserve . Thank you again Sincerely, Doris Hays

Keeping my fingers crossed that several are on the way. Just about all of them are laid-back and quiet, sometimes I forget they're here lol. So unless your house is loud (blaring tv, radio or screaming kids), you can expect the puppy to be calm.
